CCT Technology Roadmap
  • Vision: low cost purification for drinking water              one person/one year/$1
  • Technology: Nano-Technology/ Clean Technology
                        Green Technology
  • Capabilities:
      - Effective for all classes of contaminants
      - Passive technology

  •  First step:
  • Inorganics - Ligand nano-coating technology for low cost metal adsorption & recycling.
4
Crystal Clear   NMXTM Technology
  • Low cost substrate
  • NMXTM nano-coating (patent pending)
  • Remove targeted contaminants
  • Regeneration capability
  • No waste stream
5
Crystal Clear’s NMXTM Technology
  • Low cost substrate
  • NMXTM nano-coating (patent pending)
  • Remove targeted contaminants
  • Regeneration capability
  • No waste stream

Loading of Material with Pb(II) and As(III)
  • Dramatic increase in loading level of the material for both Pb(II) and As(III) after coating with the ligand.

  • Coated mineral filter medium is regenerable, with loading rates (by weight) of:
    Lead adsorption: 16%
    Arsenic (+3,+5) adsorption: 10%
Mercury, Cadmium, Barium, and Copper passed “NSF 53 certification”

  • All coated substrates also passed the TCLP (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test for hazardous wastes (contaminants do not leach off filter medium once bound).
